Senior Financial Planning & Controlling Manager


Join KPMG's Central Services Controlling team and take a leading role in shaping financial planning, reporting, and business decision support across the organization.

As a Senior Manager you will oversee the Controlling team, drive budgeting and forecasting activities, support senior stakeholders with actionable insights, and continuously improve financial processes and reporting capabilities. This role combines strategic leadership, people management, and hands-on financial expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What will you do?

Team Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Controlling team while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders.
  • Support business leaders with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance and other support functions.

Planning, Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Oversee management reporting, overhead reporting, and plan-versus-actual analyses.
  • Deliver meaningful performance insights, financial forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Present key financial findings and recommendations to leadership.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, including Power BI-based solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality and consistent financial reporting processes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of controlling methodologies and governance practices.

We are looking for you if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Controlling, or a related field.
  • Have 10+ years of experience in controlling, FP&A, management reporting, or corporate finance.
  • Have proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Are confident working with senior stakeholders and translating complex financial information into business insights.
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Have advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with Power BI or other planning and reporting tools.
